Time Warner Cable the 4th largest US multi
video provider reported today that basic cable
subs dropped 83,000 to 13,308,ooo, a decline of
about six tenths of one percent. Net income increased
to $248 million from $226 million before discontinued
operations and cumulative effect of net accounting change
in the 3rd quarter of 2006. The Time Warner president
stated that expanded HD programming would be provided.
